Across a sea of stars pt.2
Our cannons did nothing to stop it. The ship held steady. All we could do is observe1 it as it approached Earth.
The ship didn’t even slow as it got near. It smashed past some satellites2 before entering our atmosphere, and crashed3 into a small island. We worked quickly to track it4 and cordon off the area and restrict access5.
Our best science vessels6 journeyed to the island. Scientists clamoured to the edges of the ships7, trying to get their first look. But the spacecraft had landed in the center of the island, away from shifty eyes8.
They all discussed and wondered what sort of grand creatures9 might have made such a journey as they gathered their things and docked at the island.
