The Delta Cancrids

It didn’t take long for people to realize that these weren’t the normal Delta Cancrids. The meteors seemed to originate in the constellation, Cancer1, but there were too many.

Meteors started to make contact2 with Earth3. First hitting parts of Egypt4 and then raining down across the globe as it spun.

Most buildings were missed, but the ones that were hit caught fire and burned5 down their neighbours too.

People quickly sought to capitalize on it by storing the radioactive rocks in freezers6 and selling to anyone that would contact7 them with enough money.

NASA8 didn’t have time to deal with the rocks already on the ground. Astronomers were trying to figure out where the meteors came from. The hellfire wasn’t stopping, and the scientists were all out of ideas9.
