The Fallen Satellite

The doctor1 was thankful the media had reported this as a fallen satellite2. The thing that flew over the city3 and landed 100 kilometres west had been anything but, and he didn’t need the hassle of a bunch of civilians rampaging through the forest and destroying the evidence.

Or people4 stealing pieces5, wishing for some kind of weapon.

His team had followed the map6, only making light detours when something interesting caught their eye.

And now, they were here. The object was definitely alien7. The team had spent the afternoon documenting as much of the outside as they could. It was time to look inside.

They stood around the hatch8. Excitement grew as the last bits of daylight waned.

The doctor moved the lever9.
